Donna Air's lawyer brands her 'dumb' in court!

In a rather embarrassing admission, Donna Air’s lawyer has accused the star of being dumb to get her out of a parking permit fraud case.

The former TV presenter was a bit cheeky in applying for a parking permit for the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. However, the star already had a permit for the City of Westminster, which is in fact against council regulations.


However, according to Donna and her lawyer, the former model was unaware that this was the case. We have to say, we prefer the way that the lawyer chose to phrase it, as he said that at the time there was "not a great deal in her head but hot air". Charming.

Donna spoke out in court insisting that the permit application form in question wasn’t filled out by herself, but a member of her staff and she didn’t realise that it was illegal to have the two permits for one vehicle. The star also became teary when recalling the car accident she was involved in back in 2011 which had left her wheel-chair bound.

Donna was acquitted, but quick to speak her mind on the whole process to awaiting press, saying.

"I have never been in a court and it's very scary to be accused of something you have not done. It's an experience I will not forget in a hurry and I am very pleased the jury saw what the dynamics of this case were about very quickly…I am going to see my little girl and give her a big cuddle as mummy's been stuck here for no reason."
She later stressed that she believed there to be “better ways” to spend public funds, especially with some of the ongoing criminal activity within her home borough. Donna went on to say,

"I think of the knife crime in the area I live in, and they are using public money on this."
